Mariele Wassom is in the Honors Program at the University of Mary Washington. Mariele is pursuing a degree in English: Creative Writing with minors in Business Administration and English Literature and will graduate in May 2027.
“My experience as peer consultant for the University of Mary Washington Speaking and Writing Center provided me with editing, consulting, and public speaking experience. Through this position I have served as a leader in my university’s community and taught multiple class workshops. I have engaged with various types of writing, from scientific research papers as a consultant to creative writing of all types as a creative writing major. I hope to use these skills in my career path where I can continue to work with people to consult on writing and creative projects.”
